Experience Richmond
Welcome to Richmond. Whether you're a recent "come-to" or someone who is going places (as in up the corporate ladder), Experience Richmond is an orientation program designed to introduce executives new to the Richmond area or new to their positions to some of the things that make our town tick.
The program includes four, four-hour sessions and is presented by a veritable who’s who of Richmond insiders – from economic development experts and museum directors to corporate big wigs and nonprofit heads. Experience Richmond covers a range of topics: history and geography; politics and tourism; education and volunteerism; and arts and entertainment.
In the past, sessions have included:
- Getting Acclimated - An Overview of the Richmond Region covering Richmond’s history, political structure and the role of major institutions
- All Over the Map - The Diverse Landscape and Economy of the Region with a look at neighborhoods, economic development and regional initiatives
- Serving Citizens - Education, Public Safety and Volunteerism outlining schools and nonprofit agencies
- Around Town - Arts and Entertainment introducing the area’s cultural activities and restaurants
Experience Richmond 2008 begins next Spring... Check back in January for dates!
