Leadership Quest
Leadership Metro Richmond’s leadership development and community service program led by LMR graduates, has over 1,500 members throughout the region. LMR participants – both established emerging leaders – include talented men and women from the worlds of business, government, art, religion, philanthropy and community action.
The Experience
LMR class members – attorneys and bankers, entrepreneurs and educators, nonprofit leaders and community workers – meet for daylong sessions once a month to examine local issues (the environment, housing, regional cooperation, among others), while at the same time developing a range of leadership capacities (i.e. the various skills employed by effective leaders).
The Projects
The class is divided into teams that work together on community service projects, which are submitted by nonprofit organizations throughout the Richmond community and range from establishing marketing plans to raising an organization’s visibility to developing a comprehensive business plan that can help with day-to-day operations.
